Get Ready, SDIRC! First-Ever Districtwide Appreciation Event Hits Downtown Vero Beach
Celebrating Our Spirit of “Connected by Community”
The School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) is throwing a party and everyone in our School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) community is invited! In partnership with Main Street Vero Beach and proudly sponsored by The Learning Alliance, the first-ever SDIRC Appreciation Event will bring our “Connected by Community” spirit to life on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM along 14th Avenue.
We’re closing the street and turning downtown into a celebration zone — filled with fun, food, music, and connection! From 19th Place (Vero Beach Masonic Lodge) to 19th Street (Taco Dive), families will find something for everyone while enjoying an evening that reflects the heart of our District: relationships, partnerships, and friendships.
Here’s what’s in store:
Face painting and bounce houses for the kids;
A live DJ keeping the energy high;
Games, activities, and surprises around every corner; and
Special treats from Post & Vine, Vero Wine Bar, Armani’s, and Curfew — FREE with an SDIRC or MCAN ID.
“This is more than an event – it is a celebration of our people, our partnerships, and the strong connections that define our District, said Dr. David K. Moore, Superintendent of Schools. We’re inviting every student, family member, staff member, and neighbor to come Downtown, connect with one another, and kick off this school year with excitement.”
This family-friendly evening is the perfect way to support local businesses and celebrate what makes the SDIRC Stronger Together: a commitment to being Connected by Community.
